The Challenge

When the founders of Social House approached us, their goal was to create a brand that felt elevated yet approachable—a place where guests could enjoy a high-end experience without the pretense. They needed a visual and verbal identity that captured the restaurant’s dual spirit:

  • Social energy — lively, welcoming, and communal

  • Refined craftsmanship — quality-driven, intentional, and detail-oriented

The brand needed to seamlessly align with the restaurant’s concept, space design, and guest experience.
 

Our Approach

We began with a deep dive into the restaurant’s mission, vision, and values, as well as the target audience—professionals, food enthusiasts, and social diners seeking memorable experiences.

Our branding strategy focused on three key pillars:

    We wanted Social House to feel like a place people instantly belong—a local favorite that also delivers the polish of a fine dining experience.

  2. Modern Sophistication
    The brand aesthetic needed to reflect quality, from the plating to the cocktail menu. We chose design elements that evoke timeless charm with a modern twist.

  3. The Social Element
    Every touchpoint had to encourage connection—whether through the layout of the patio, communal tables, or the storytelling behind the brand.
     

Brand Development

1. Brand Identity

  • Logo Design:
    The logo blends clean, modern typography with subtle nods to craftsmanship and hospitality. It was designed to be versatile—easily adaptable for menus, signage, and digital use.

  • Color Palette:
    Warm, earthy tones (charcoal, bourbon amber, ivory) were paired with muted metallics to convey comfort and refinement.

  • Typography:
    A balance between classic serif and modern sans-serif fonts reflected the dual nature of Social House: inviting yet elevated.
     

2. Brand Voice & Messaging

We crafted the tagline and tone around “where every visit is an occasion.”
The brand voice is:

  • Inviting, not intimidating

  • Refined, but never stiff

  • Celebratory, with an emphasis on community and connection
     

3. Visual Direction

Mood boards and style guides were created to inform:

  • Menu and signage design

  • Website and social media layout

  • Interior decor alignment (lighting, texture, and ambiance guidance)

Within weeks of opening, Social House became known for its signature bourbon offerings, community-driven atmosphere, and Instagram-worthy aesthetic—perfectly aligned with the brand we helped shape.
